Well, we did it. Again. We outgrew another server. With the addition of the galleries, and the increased traffic on the forum as of late, we need to do an emergency server upgrade tonite.

So what does this mean to you? In a couple of hours (sometime after midnight EST), we’ll be shutting the site down for an hour or so to complete the move (which has been going on for the past 2 days). When the site comes back up, it will load faster, and we’ve got bigger hard drives.

The new server features a Dual Core AMD Opteron™ Processor 170, 2 GB RAM with 2 160GB hard drives (i.e. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)

Let’s try not to kill this server for at least a couple of months, ok? Oh, and don’t worry if you show up at the Corner tonite and it’s down… it’ll be back soon - and faster than ever.
