I currently live in the Washington D.C. metro area and work for the non-profit organization the National Parks Conservation Association. In 2005 I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and communications, with an emphasis in mass communications theory. For much of my life I have been attracted to more creative hobbies, such as writing, drawing, and, of course, photography, but I’m also into hiking and backpacking, and have traveled extensively in the U.S. and Mexico. I plan to write bi-weekly articles covering a myriad of topics, from current trends in photography to the way photographs are used as information as well as art. As I’ve pursued photography as a hobby, I’ve often looked to other photographers and the styles they use for inspiration. I have found a wealth of information and resources about creating technically great photographs on PhotographyCorner, and I hope to add some subjective themes that people can find interesting and informative.
