Two More Authors Coming to the Corner Blog
Just in case you didn’t have enough reasons to read The Corner Blog, here are two more for you…
Starting this weekend, we are adding two more regular columns to the Corner Blog featuring well-known photography business teacher Martin Hurley, and our very own Nicole (aka CornflakeGirl)!
Martin, a photographer, author and photography business teacher, teaches amateur photographers how to turn their hobby and passion into a recurring, passive income. He is also author of the popular ebook “Digital Photo Toolkit.” where he instructs photographers how to earn money from their photos and photo products.
Nicole has written her own introduction (thanks Nicole!):
I currently live in the Washington D.C. metro area and work for the non-profit organization the National Parks Conservation Association. In 2005 I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and communications, with an emphasis in mass communications theory. For much of my life I have been attracted to more creative hobbies, such as writing, drawing, and, of course, photography, but I’m also into hiking and backpacking, and have traveled extensively in the U.S. and Mexico. I plan to write bi-weekly articles covering a myriad of topics, from current trends in photography to the way photographs are used as information as well as art. As I’ve pursued photography as a hobby, I’ve often looked to other photographers and the styles they use for inspiration. I have found a wealth of information and resources about creating technically great photographs on PhotographyCorner, and I hope to add some subjective themes that people can find interesting and informative. If you have any suggestions for articles, such as topics you’d like to read about, please let me know. I’m open to suggestions. Just send me a private message (I’m CornflakeGirl on the forum).
Expect the first article from each column within the next day or so! Martin’s column will be called The Business of Photography, and Nicole’s column will be called The Nature of Photography. ![]()
