Numerous people have asked if it would be possible to receive more “reminder emails” from the Corner. Some people don’t like emails, some people love them. What do you think? Vote in the poll in the forum.

Right now, we send out a newsletter every month (usually in the middle of the month). In addition, we usually send out a voting reminder email (short) for each contest throughout the year (12 for the Photograph of the Month contests, 18 for the Contest Corner Challenges, and 3-5 for the Photograph of the Year contest). All in all, that’s less than 50 emails/year. Suggestions have been as follows:

• Additional voting reminder emails for each contest - 1 right when voting starts, and 1 a day or two before voting ends
• An email when each contest is announced (for Contest Corner Challenge’s)
• An email when a winner is announced for each contest

I’ll leave voting open for 10 days from the time of this post. Majority rules. Of course, you can always opt out of all emails (including newsletters), by changing your email preferences in your UserCP by going to Edit Options and then uncheck the “Receive Email from Administrators” option (keep in mind doing this will mean you won’t EVER get ANY newsletters, contest or voting reminders from the Corner!).
