Along the same lines as the blog post from earlier today, we’ve got something else we need to decide as a community (isn’t cool how we all get input on this sort of stuff?) - how many contest wins is too many?

There has already been some discussion in the forums on the subject, but I wanted to give everyone a chance to discuss further and vote on the issue. Can someone win too many contests? Certain members [#cough# Spicoli #cough#] have a certain knack at winning contests here around the Corner. Should we put a time limit on winning contests (like you have to sit out 3 contests after winning one)? What about doing a “non-winners-only” contest every once and a while? Or should we just let it run like we have been?

There are pro’s and con’s too all, of course. If we continue like we have been, some newbies to the site, and to photography in general, may feel intimidated and may not enter the contests because of all the great photographs always entered. If we impose a “timeout” for winners, that may decrease the quality of the photos submitted. And if we do a “non-winners-only” contest (first off, we’d have to come up with a better name), the quality of the photos would, again, be lower.
