Here are some thoughts from Brad V on the photograph:
My girlfriend, who is a Montreal native, took me there for the first time over the Christmas holidays. Knowing I love photography, she said that I would have to check out the old port, and the Basilica. The port was very nice, but nothing compared to the Basilica. I fell in love with the place the moment I walked in. Only problem was that I didnt have a tripod with me, and there was no chance of getting a decent photo. So, I went back two days later, and managed to get a bunch of shots. The intent was to merge several exposures in HDR, but the POTY contest did not allow for it, so this shot was from one of the exposures. I cant wait to go back to Montreal.
