Since the winners of the 2007 Photograph of the Year contest have been announced, a bunch of my time has been taken up by organizing the prizes, and tying up loose ends around the contest. One of the things that is always a bonus when putting our contests together, is all the cool people and advertisers/sponsors I get to work with, and I just wanted to make a quick post about one of our main sponsors of the 2007 Photograph of the Year contest: ScanCafe.

Currently they only deal with US customers (hey, they’re a brand new company - doing business internationally is a logistic nightmare - trust me, I know!), but the majority of our winners were from Canada and overseas (India, Ireland & Australia). Where some companies would try to wiggle out of having to supply prizes overseas (or offer another token prize instead), ScanCafe has totally stepped up. Not only are they going to honor the prizes to all the winners, they’re going to take care of all the shipping and all the logistics themselves. They put together custom emails and instructions for our international winners and everything. I was just super impressed, and I thought it was worth passing on.
