Here are some thoughts from ybounh on the photograph:
As winter was coming to an end, the river started to melt progressively. The sheer force of the current combined with the unexpected rise in temperatures throws massive ice cubes “overboard”. As I was walking by after the sun had set, the combination of the fiery sky colours with the cool glow of the ice blocks attracted my attention. Post processing was limited to some curves/contrast/saturation adjustments along with selective burning to bring out the detail and colours in the ice. Technical data: Nikon D70s/Sigma 10-20 @20mm. f/16 1.6s iso200 Cokin P121 G2 filter.
You can congratulate Younes here at the Winner Award Thread as well as by posting a comment on the winning photograph here in the Corner Galleries.
Congrats, Younes!!!!!
