Would You Help Support the Corner With Alphabetography?
Remember Contest Corner Challenge #43: Holiday Alphabetography? You know, take photos of objects that look like letters to spell out words. Cool concept (you can see all the entries in the CCC#43 Photo Gallery). So I’ve been brain-storming and have come up with a neat way to raise some money for the Corner - Alphabetography.
Ok, I know what you’re thinking. “How will ‘Alphabetography’ raise money for the Corner?”
Good question. Here’s my idea. People “donate” Alphabetography photographs that they’ve taken to the Corner. I’ll fix them up (crop, colorize, etc), and put them up on a SmugMug-powered website, and we’ll sell them. Profits go to the Corner. We can have little contests, and give out prizes to people who donate a certain number of photographs (think camera bags, the new PhotographyCorner pens, etc). It’s a win-win for everyone. Instead of you paying for the Corner, donate some photographs and help keep the Corner alive!
What do you think? Before I go ahead and buy the domain (the one I want, the owner is asking some decent $$$ for it), and have the site built, I want to make sure people would be up for it. We’d need at least 150+ photographs probably to get started. Is this something you’d be willing to do to help out the Corner? Let me know in the comments.
