As I mentioned in the email I sent out a couple of days ago (which you only would have received if you’re a member of the PhotographyCorner Forums - you can register here), I’ll be out of town at a conference most of this week (May 4th - 9th), so, unfortunately, the winner of Contest Corner Challenge #49: Play Ball won’t be announced until I get back into the office. To make up for that, though, I’ve announced Contest Corner Challenge #50 a couple of days early.

Since this is our 50th Contest Corner Challenge, I thought I’d make it pretty wide open. I want to receive a BUNCH of entries for this one. The title of CCC#50 is “What IS That??!,” and you can get all the nitty, gritty details here. What we’re looking for is abstract photography (definition: an image that is conceived apart from concrete reality, generally emphasizing lines, colours and geometrical forms, and their relationship to one another). Basically, take an everyday object and photograph it from a unique perspective. Make us guess what it is. You’ll have to be a little creative for this contest, so grab your camera, get creative, smoke a doobie*, and take a photograph that will keep us guessing.

You have until May 19th to get your photograph in (that’s over 2 weeks!!). If the winner is not a Premiere Member, they will receive a Lifetime, Level II Premiere Membership and 5 of the new PhotographyCorner.com Pens. If the winner is a Premiere Member, they will receive $200 CASH (payable by PayPal only) and 10 of the new PhotographyCorner.com Pens (yeah, CASH, BABY!!!).

So let’s make our 50th CCC (that’s half-way to 100!) a HUGE contest. Can we top 50 entries? How about 100?
