SnapTotes Offers Cheaper Shipping to Canada

I know this is only news to those of us that live in the Great White North (aka Canada), but since SnapTotes is one of my favorite “photo accessories” companies, and since I, myself, live in Canada, I figured I’d share the news anyways (besides, we have an awful lot of Canadians here at the Corner, you know). Oh, and there’s coupon code at the bottom, too.

Snaptotes and PicStreet (their sister company) have just entered into an agreement with FedEx to drastically improve their shipping times and rates to Canada. FedEx will now be acting as their broker and paying duties before the package is delivered, which means the package will not get delayed when it is being delivered (probably my only initial complaint - check out the rest of my review of SnapTotes I did a while back). They have negotiated substantially improved rates with FedEx and shipping has decreased from $39.95 to $24.95. This charge includes the costs to clear customers and pay customs and duties in advance so that the package will not get delayed when it is being delivered. You can order up to 10 items and still only pay $24.95. Duties will be included on your orders under taxes and will be at 6% at the time that you pay for your orders (though GST is currently 5%, so that may be 5% as well). You will not owe any other duties when package arrives - a HUGE bonus for those of us that live in Canada - duty fees can be ridiculous.

Canadians who order now through November 1st on PicStreet or SnapTotes will receive a $10 discount on orders over $100 with the promo code ohcanada!.
