SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #1

As I mentioned in a blog post earlier today, we’re kicking off a new contest series called the SmugMug Scavenger Hunts. It’s like a normal scavenger hunt, but instead of looking for things outside, you’re looking for specific photographs found on the SmugMug site. You can read the rules and how-tos here.

Your task is to find the below 15 photographs, and email links to those photographs to smugmug@photographycorner.com. On September 17th, we will randomly draw one correct entry, and the winner will receive a free, 1-year subscription to a SmugMug Pro Account. Then, on September 25th, we’ll draw another correct entry (including the ones that were in the running for the Pro Account - except the winner, of course), and the winner will receive a free, 1-year subscription to a SmugMug Power Account. Finally, on October 9th, we’ll draw a final entry from the entire pot (minus the 2 winners), and the winner will receive a free, 1-year subscription to a SmugMug Standard Account. (We’ll announce all the winners here on the Corner Blog).

Here’s your list for the SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #1:

  1. A Colorado Mountain Goat sitting under a cloud.
  2. A bucket of baseballs taken by a Canon 40D.
  3. A yield sign taken with an aperture of f/20 & a focal length of 27mm.
  4. The Swiss flag in front of the Aletschhorn.
  5. A 1967 Dodge Coronet 440.
  6. A 1958 Mamiyflex C2 camera.
  7. Flamingos in Singapore taken with a Nikon D300.
  8. A polar bear playing with a green ball.
  9. A British Airways Boeing 747 taken with an aperture of f/5.6.

  14. A Dragonfly taken at a focal length of 365mm.

So there you have it. Make sure to read the introduction thread for some tips on finding photographs on SmugMug.com as well as the proper way to submit your entries. If you have any questions, or would like to discuss the contest, feel free to do so in the comments section for this post.
