It’s been over half a year, but it’s finally time for another Digital Darkroom Contest Corner Challenge. For those of you that either haven’t been around the Corner for that long, or have no idea what the heck a “digital darkroom” contest is, check out the past two Digital Darkroom CCC’s: Digital Darkroom #1 & Digital Darkroom #2.

This is how it shakes down. If you log into the Corner Forums and head over to the CCC#59: Digital Darkroom #3 contest thread, you’ll find 12 photographs posted there (which can also be downloaded in a zip file here. The challenge for this contest is not to go and take a photograph, but use your “mad photoshop skillz” to create a new photograph from at least 3 of the photos provided (you can use whatever image editor you want, of course). Photoshop is to digital photography like a darkroom is to film photography, and the darkroom, whether digital or film, is an important part of photography. This contest gives you a chance to learn and improve on your digital darkroom skills (and the results are usually hilariously awesome).

Entries are due in by November 24th. If the winner is a Premiere Member, they will receive a copy of Corel Painter Essentials 4 as well as 5 PhotographyCorner.com pens!! If the winner is not a Premiere Member, they will win a Lifetime, Level I Premiere Membership. Make sure to check out the Contest Corner Challenge Rules & Regulations before entering (of course, you don’t need to include the date that the photograph was taken, and obviously, photo manipulation is allowed for this contest!).

So download those photos, open up your favorite image editing program, and get those digital darkroom juices flowing!
