2008 Photograph of the Year Update
All of the entries from the 2008 Photograph of the Year Contest have been received and processed. Everyone that submitted a photograph should have received a confirmation email back letting them know if their entry was accepted or denied. We’re almost ready to begin the first round of voting, so we wanted to give you a couple of details while you (patiently) wait.
Firstly, you won’t have to wait much longer. We anticipate being able to start the first round of voting sometime on Wednesday, January 14th, 2009. There are 130 entries to vote on, and will be split up into 10 groups of 13. The top two photographs in each group will move on to the final voting round. Each voting round will last for 7 days, with the final winners being announced on Friday, January 30th.
There will be multiple voting reminders sent out during the contest via private message and email, in addition to various blog posts as well. Make sure you’re subscribed to the Corner Blog to receive all the updates on the contest.
Congratulations to all those that had photographs accepted into the contest, and make sure to drop by the “Sponsor Thank-You Thread to thank the sponsors for the $11,500 in prizes up for grab!
