2008 Photograph of the Year: Meet the Sponsors - Mpix

Mpix.com is a company that is already used by a fair number of people around the Corner. Thankfully, they not only sponsored the 2008 Photograph of the Year contest, but also are gaving away $1,200 in gift certificates to the winners - that’s a lot of prints (and books and other press items)!

Tell us a little bit about Mpix.

Mpix was started in 2003 as a division of Miller’s Professional Imaging. Miller’s was founded in 1939, and is the largest professional photography lab in the United States. Mpix is built upon a reputation of the fastest turn around time in the industry, unparalleled print quality and fast, friendly customer support.

The Mpix production facility is in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Why did Mpix decide to sponsor the PhotograhyCorner 2008 Photograph of the Year contest?

Mpix believes in helping every photographer become better at their trade. The contest at the PhotographyCorner encourages and inspires photographers to learn and try new things. We love seeing photographers share their images and passion for photography.

Tell us a little more about the prize Mpix is offering for the contest.

We are offering a $1,200.00 in gift certificates to Mpix. With this, the winners can order prints, books and other press items.

How will the prize Mpix is offering help people become better photographers?

Our prize will help people become better photographers by giving them hundreds of dollars in free printing. This may allow them to order more prints than they normally would and will encourage them to shoot more images.

What else would you like to share with the Photography Corner community?

We are happy to be a part of this great contest and are excited by the great images shown throughout the contest. The members of the PhotographyCorner are a passionate group, willing to share their images and work to better themselves as photographers.
