Round 1 Voting for the 2009 PotY Has Begun!

Over a month after we announced the PhotographyCorner.com 2009 Photograph of the Year contest with $10,000 in prizes (brought to you by PhotoBook Press and the other fine sponsors), it’s finally time for the community to cast their votes. Due to the large number of entries into the contest, just as in past years, we’ve split the voting into 2 rounds.

Round 1, which is split up into 7 groups, features 21 photographs per group. For the next 7 days (voting ends between 4:50pm EST (9:50pm GMT) and 5:40pm EST (10:40pm GMT) on Sunday, January 17th, 2010), the community can vote on which photograph in each group they think deserves to move on to the final round of voting. The top 3 photographs from each group will move onto the final round. You can read through all the voting guidelines here.

Listed below are links to the photo gallery for each group in round 1 of voting. Below the photo galleries are links to the voting threads for each group in round 1.

Browse through the photographs, and once you’ve decided which photograph you think should move on to the final round, vote for it in the voting thread. To make it easier, each photograph in the 2009 Photograph of the Year Photo Galleries has a link directly to the voting thread.
