It's Friday, which means it's time for another "Corner Member Close Up" photographer interview. This week we meet Larry Shone, aka Cyclops, from England. We've got 20 great photos below along with the interview - enjoy!

Every other Friday we get a little up close and personal with a member of the PhotographyCorner community - we browse through some of their favorite photographs and ask them a bunch of questions. It's a great way to get to know some of the most active members of the community. This week we meet Orv Salisbury (you may know him simply as OrvSal). Ok, I know we usually do the Corner Member Close-Up's on Fridays, but with the PotM Winner announcement, and the closing of the entry period for the 2011 Photograph of the Year contest, I didn't quite get this ready in time. The first Corner Member Close-Up of 2012 was worth the wait, though. It's a great read, with some beautiful photographs. Ladies and Gentlemen... introducing Peirceman!

It's the final Corner Member Close Up of 2011, and we've got a great one to end the year with one of the self-proclaimed "refugee's" from "that other site" - John Glowacki (aka Sasquatch). The interview below includes 2 dozen+ photos, a fantastic interview, and probably one of the funniest "most embarrassing moments" stories for our interviews to date.

It may not be the most compelling of interviews (but hey, English isn't his first language!), but we've got a fantastic collection of photographs by Abdulmajeed Althiban from Saudi Arabia. These photos speak for themselves anyways! ;)

Today, our Corner Member Close Up photographer interview is with one of the most consistant moderators the Corner has ever known - digital2006 (aka Marty Fisher). Odds are, if you've posted in the Members Introduction forum, you've received a welcome from Marty; he's quick on the draw hunting down spammers, and he's an all around great guy. On top of all that, just last month he received his Platinum Commitment Award here at the Corner - with over 10,000 posts! Wow! A good read, and some great advice - worth it for the photos and the interview!

It's time for another "Corner Member Close Up" photographer interview - but this week we're in for a treat: Tamara Eder has won several Contest Corner Challenges, a Photograph of the Month, and she won the Premiere Project Photograph of the Year contest two years ago. Not only are the photographs below spectacular, but I didn't have to make one spelling or grammar correction - that alone makes it a favorite in my books. ;) If you're familiar with Tamara's photography, you'll know her minimalist photographs are spectactular - enjoy the 2 dozen+ photographs below, as well as a fantastic interview filled with some great stories and advice.

The "Corner Member Close Up" photographer interview this week is one of my favorites so far this year. The interview is interesting and thorough, and it includes over 30 photographs. Without further adieu, let's get right to it. May I introduce to you a photojournalist from Alabama, Mark Lent.

Usually our Corner Member Close Up interviews go every other Friday here on the Corner Blog, but due to the server issues we were having last week (which are finally resolved!), we had to push this interview until today. If you love dogs, though, I think you'll find it was worth the wait. We have 2 dozen+ photos and a great interview with Clark Kranz - a canine sports photographer from beautiful San Diego, California.

We had a chance to interview Ben a while back (go ahead and search the archives if you want to compare interviews). Ben has been a member of the Corner almost since the beginning, and we've had the chance to watch him grow from a bay to a man (14-22). Crazy stuff. He is a fantastic storm photographer, so I know you'll enjoy his photographs below (we've got 20 of 'em in this "Corner Member Close-Up."

In the "Corner Member Close Up" today we meet one of the Contest Corner Challenge champions in Neil Shapiro, who has tallied an amazing SIX CCC wins to date (on top of his 3rd place finish in the 2007 Photograph of the Year contest, and 8th place finish in the 2009 Photograph of the Year contest)!! We've got a great interview below, along with over 2 dozen of his favorite photographs - a stunning collection by any standards.

Jerry's been on vacation for a while, so I've had this interview in my files for a couple of months (wanted to wait until Jerry was back in town before his interview went live) - finally it gets to see the light of day! It's probably one of my favorite Corner Member Close Up interviews so far this year, and it includes 40 photographs (he sent me over 60 to use - so I've already had the hard task of trimming it down...). While the answers are mostly short-and-sweet, the interview features almost two dozen photographs. Andrew is not a 'typical' photographer, so enjoy his unique perspective on photography, along with his creative images (and enjoy the weekend - especially if it's a long weekend where you live!).
