Recently, I’ve had a chance to test-drive their scanning services and have posted some thoughts (an overview and a review), which you can see here: ScanCafe.com Photo, Slide and Negative Scanning. I know some of you have tried ScanCafe as well. We’d love to hear your comments.  Read more »

Corner Resource Center Catch-Up #3

As I slow make progress catching up adding articles, tutorials and product reviews to the Corner Resource Center, I’ll keep you posted on the blog. Corner Resource Center Catch-Up #1

If anyone has submitted an article or tutorial to me over the past 6 or so months, they’ve probably been disappointed that it has yet to show up in the Corner Resource Center. I’ve gotten behind, and the longer I left it, the more that piled up. Eventually it became too big of a mountain to climb, and they just sat in a folder, collecting virtual dust, on my desktop. Well, no more, I say!! I’m going to climb this mountain and get these great articles & tutorials done! Read more »

13 New Tutorial Video's Covering Adobe Photoshop Express

Adobe Photoshop ExpressAs I mentioned about a week ago, with the release of Adobe Photoshop Express, Erik Bernskiold (a moderator here at the Corner), has put together a video review/tutorial series for us that covers every aspect of the new, online tool from Adobe.

Unlike it’s older brother Photoshop, Photoshop Express is more aimed towards the casual photographer, not at the professional photographer. That being said, it’s still a great tool to use on the go. If you just want to quickly clean up an image, or maybe you’re not at your “post-processing computer,” or your at someone else’s house and you left your laptop behind - it’s a quick and easy way to do some basic photo editing. To check out Photoshop Express for yourself, visit www.photoshopexpress.com. Below, I have embedded the first video in the series, as well as links to the other 12 (yes there are 13 videos in the series - wow!). Thanks for all the hard work, Erik! Read more »

Adobe Photoshop Express - Video Tutorial Series

Adobe Photoshop ExpressAdobe Photoshop Express, the long-awaited, free online image editor was released as a public beta on Thursday. Our very own Erik Bernskiold has decided to do a complete review/tutorial video series for us which we will be posting over the next couple of days. Read more »

Snaptotes: DaxIn a couple of hours, we’re going to announce the results of Contest Corner Challenge #45 that was sponsored by our friends @ www.Snaptotes.com. I promised myself that I’d get this review done before the contest was over, and, well, it’s done. As part of our advertising agreement, I got to create a couple of photo bags to review (good deal, eh?). You can check out the 2 bags I created and the entire review here: SnapTotes Custom Photo Bags (and yes, that is one of my bags to the right there - the photo is of my new puppy, Dax). Read more »
