Kodak Picture of the Day Contest Recap

If you remember way back to late October, 2007, we held a contest in partnership with Kodak. The winners (one from North America and one from “the rest of the world,”) were to have one of their photographs displayed on the Kodak Electronic Display in Times Square for one day. Well, back in February, it finally happened. Karen and sayambhu had their one day of fame in Times Square, and Karen took a trip out to New York to experience first hand! In addition, Karen received a Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-in-One Printer. Below, we have some photos she took on the trip, some of her thoughts on the trip and the contest, as well as a mini-review to go along with the review I did earlier.

Live in New York? We Need Your Help This Weekend!

Kodak Electronic Display in Times Square, New YorkRemember the contest we ran with Kodak a while back? Remember how the North American winner received a Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-in-One printer, and both winners (North American & Worldwide), as part of their prize, would have one of their photographs featured on the giant Kodak Electronic Display in Times Square in New York? Well, the day has almost arrived, and we need your help!!

This coming weekend (February 9th & 10th), Karen’s and sayambhu’s photographs (the winners of the contest) will be displayed in Times Square, and we need people who live in or near New York to head down to Times Square to take some photos and or video of the Kodak Electronic Display!! Do you live in New York? Can you head down on the weekend? Let us know in the comments. Karen is making a special trip out there herself (all the way across the country!), but it would be great if we could get a couple more people out there! Wha’d’ya say? Read more »

Kodak Contest – Win Yourself a Printer (and More!)

KodakIf you had to pick the coolest place in the world to have your favorite photograph showcased, where would it be?

“What about on the homepage of PhotographyCorner?”

Well, that’s pretty big… (sucking up will only get you so far)… but think even bigger…

Give up? How about in Times Square in New York??! How amazing would that be?! I know what you’re thinking: “There’s no way Tim could pull that off… could he?”…. Read more »

Kodak - The Winds of Change (Video)

If you haven’t seen this video released by Kodak on YouTube yet, you’re really missing out… I’d describe the video to you and comment on it, but it’s probably just as easy for me to show it to you (gotta love new technology, eh?), and honestly, it really speaks for itself (if you find it starts out boring, just wait to the 45-50 second mark… trust me). Read more »
