Call For Articles, Tutorials and Product Reviews

Contributor AwardIn case you missed it, we uploaded a fantastic review of the new Cotton Carrier camera system (written by Scott111184) to the Corner Resource Center last night. In fact, one of the most popular sections of the Corner is the Corner Resource Center, and over the past couple of months, I’ve been working my way through the queue of resources. As of today, we’re officially caught up.

So that means we need more resources!! Almost all of the articles, tutorials and product reviews in the Corner Resource Center are written by members of the Corner. Do you have something you’d like to submit? A neat Photoshop tutorial, or maybe a photography tip or trick? What about a review of that new lens you got? Write something up and submit it to the Corner! In return you’ll pick up a Contributor Award, and the praise and adoration of all the members of the Corner. Check out this thread in the Corner forums for info on how to write and submit a resource for the Corner Resource Center. Get your tips and tricks published on the Corner and help out fellow photographers at the same time! Read more »

    How to Photograph Fireworks

There are numerous occasions throughout the year that we celebrate with fireworks, and regardless of what occasion we’re celebrating, almost everyone with a camera wants to try to capture the display of lights and colors. Unfortunately, almost every photographer fails to do just that. For every great fireworks photograph, there are hundreds of blurry, over exposed, under exposed, shaky, out of focus or just plain ol’ bad photographs of fireworks. It’s actually not that difficult to capture great firework photographs - it just takes a little patience, some practice, and a couple of important tips to remember - oh, and you need a camera.

13 New Tutorial Video's Covering Adobe Photoshop Express

Adobe Photoshop ExpressAs I mentioned about a week ago, with the release of Adobe Photoshop Express, Erik Bernskiold (a moderator here at the Corner), has put together a video review/tutorial series for us that covers every aspect of the new, online tool from Adobe.

Unlike it’s older brother Photoshop, Photoshop Express is more aimed towards the casual photographer, not at the professional photographer. That being said, it’s still a great tool to use on the go. If you just want to quickly clean up an image, or maybe you’re not at your “post-processing computer,” or your at someone else’s house and you left your laptop behind - it’s a quick and easy way to do some basic photo editing. To check out Photoshop Express for yourself, visit www.photoshopexpress.com. Below, I have embedded the first video in the series, as well as links to the other 12 (yes there are 13 videos in the series - wow!). Thanks for all the hard work, Erik! Read more »

Adobe Photoshop Express - Video Tutorial Series

Adobe Photoshop ExpressAdobe Photoshop Express, the long-awaited, free online image editor was released as a public beta on Thursday. Our very own Erik Bernskiold has decided to do a complete review/tutorial video series for us which we will be posting over the next couple of days. Read more »
