Photograph of the Year Update - EXIF Data No Longer Required

I’ve already had to reject more than 250 entries to the PhotographyCorner.com 2006 Photograph of the Year contest due to a variety of “missing or invalid” information reasons, as well as sizing issues (it would be really hard to vote on a 400×300 image up against a 1024×768 or larger image…). After downloading the entries that “passed” the initial run-through, I’ve found that an additional 25%+ don’t have EXIF data attached, as was posted in the Rules. I don’t want to trim the field down too far… as it is, there are less than 150 “valid” entries to the contest (*hint, hint to those that are reluctant to enter… with so few entries, you’ve got a great chance at winning or at least placing in the top 10!*). Read more »

If you’ve received an email from me today asking you to resubmit your photograph, please take a couple of minutes to re-read the Rules and the Submission Guidelines. I promise it will only take you a couple of minutes to read. Most of the entries are being rejected because of the following reasons: Read more »
