Video Corner #56: How to Use 'Fit Image' in Photoshop

Today’s ‘Photoshop Monday’ Video Corner shows us a really simple and easy way to resize images in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop by making the longest edge of the image a specific width or heigh (using the ‘fit image’ function). While it may seem simple, it’s a particularly useful method for batch resizing for printing or sharing photos online.

Video Corner #52: Batch Photo Processing in Photoshop

The first ‘Photoshop Monday’ Video Corner of 2010 is all about batch processing photographs. When it comes down to it, using actions and batch processing will help you optimize your photography post-processing workflow. If you haven’t already, make sure to watch through Video Corner #50: How to Create Actions in Photoshop, as the video today assumes you know how to create and use actions in Photoshop. Once you’ve watched the video from last week and are comfortable using actions in Photoshop, we’ll look at doing batch photo processing using Adobe Photoshop, then we’ll see how to do the same thing in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

Video Corner #14: Adjustment Brush in Adobe Lightroom 2.0

This video discusses the non-destructive applications of both the adjustment brush and the graduated filter application in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2. These powerful tools will let you adjust exposure, brightness, contrast, saturation, clarity and sharpness - locally and non-destructively. No more going into Photoshop and using adjustment layers with masks. Instead, Lightroom 2.0 allows for instant masking! This feature alone, at least in my opinion, is more than worth the cost of Lightroom 2 (available from Amazon.com for $260!).

13 New Tutorial Video's Covering Adobe Photoshop Express

Adobe Photoshop ExpressAs I mentioned about a week ago, with the release of Adobe Photoshop Express, Erik Bernskiold (a moderator here at the Corner), has put together a video review/tutorial series for us that covers every aspect of the new, online tool from Adobe.

Unlike it’s older brother Photoshop, Photoshop Express is more aimed towards the casual photographer, not at the professional photographer. That being said, it’s still a great tool to use on the go. If you just want to quickly clean up an image, or maybe you’re not at your “post-processing computer,” or your at someone else’s house and you left your laptop behind - it’s a quick and easy way to do some basic photo editing. To check out Photoshop Express for yourself, visit www.photoshopexpress.com. Below, I have embedded the first video in the series, as well as links to the other 12 (yes there are 13 videos in the series - wow!). Thanks for all the hard work, Erik!
