Call For Articles, Tutorials and Product Reviews

Contributor AwardIn case you missed it, we uploaded a fantastic review of the new Cotton Carrier camera system (written by Scott111184) to the Corner Resource Center last night. In fact, one of the most popular sections of the Corner is the Corner Resource Center, and over the past couple of months, I’ve been working my way through the queue of resources. As of today, we’re officially caught up.

So that means we need more resources!! Almost all of the articles, tutorials and product reviews in the Corner Resource Center are written by members of the Corner. Do you have something you’d like to submit? A neat Photoshop tutorial, or maybe a photography tip or trick? What about a review of that new lens you got? Write something up and submit it to the Corner! In return you’ll pick up a Contributor Award, and the praise and adoration of all the members of the Corner. Check out this thread in the Corner forums for info on how to write and submit a resource for the Corner Resource Center. Get your tips and tricks published on the Corner and help out fellow photographers at the same time!

Three Articles, a Camera Bag and a Lensbaby

I’m getting closer to being 100% caught up on tutorials, articles and product reviews that have been waiting in the queue to be edited and uploaded to the Corner Resource Center. Over the past couple of days I’ve added 3 articles by SchoolofPhotography.com, as well as 2 product reviews written by me. There are still more to come, but we’re getting closer to being caught up - I promise. Enjoy the articles and product reviews below.

Three Reviews and Two Articles Added to the Corner Resource Center

As I promised earlier in the week, I’m blowing the dust off some of the folders on my computer and coding and posting articles, tutorials and product reviews that were submitted a LONG time ago, but for some reason or another never got posted to the Corner Resource Center. Earlier in the week we posted 5 new photography tutorials (if you missed them, check them out here), and over the past 2 days we’ve uploaded two new articles (one on wedding photography by kixphotography, and one of the business of photography by newlove) and three new reviews (by Gems, fatcatphotos and newlove). The 5 latest additions to the Corner Resource Center are below:

Five New Resources Added to the Corner Resource Center

If you don’t follow the forums very closely, you may have missed me posting up 5 new articles/tutorials/product reviews over the past day or so (I post them up in the Corner Resource Center, then post a link up for discussion in the Photography Resources Forum). Almost all of the resources added to the Corner Resource Center are submitted by members of the Corner (people just like you!). Here’s a list of the new resources added:

Corner Resource Center Catch-Up #4

We’re getting there, I promise. I’ve spent the majority of the past day+ coding and uploading FIVE new articles and tutorials to the Corner Resource Center. Thanks to those that have created/written and submitted the following articles/tutorials, and to those that have submitted some and they haven’t been uploaded, I’m working my way through them, and they should be up soon!! In the meantime, enjoy the following 5 new resources!

Corner Resource Center Catch-Up #1

If anyone has submitted an article or tutorial to me over the past 6 or so months, they’ve probably been disappointed that it has yet to show up in the Corner Resource Center. I’ve gotten behind, and the longer I left it, the more that piled up. Eventually it became too big of a mountain to climb, and they just sat in a folder, collecting virtual dust, on my desktop. Well, no more, I say!! I’m going to climb this mountain and get these great articles & tutorials done!

Articles By Amy: How To Master Exposure Bracketing

A great way to practice getting perfect exposure is to try a method called exposure bracketing. I was taught this by Sally Brown, a photojournalist. It’s a good technique for ensuring correct exposure. Exposure bracketing or “bracketing” can be explained as the photographer taking numerous photos of the same thing using a variety of different camera settings. Bracketing is great when you are struggling to get a shot with exposure you like and that suits the image generally and helps ensure correct exposure of a photo when lighting in a scene is difficult.

Articles By Amy - Time to Catch Up

Remember the Articles By Amy series we were doing a while back? You know, Amy Refrey, the author of the Digital Photography Success package (if you haven’t checked out her Digital Photography Success Package, by the way, you really should - a great way to jump-start your photography). Anyways, she wrote about a dozen or so articles for us back in the spring/summer, and then they just stopped… but it wasn’t her fault, it was mine - she kept writing them, I just stopped posting them. They’ve been piling up, and piling up, so over the next couple of days, I’ll be posting a whole bunch of them. Are you ready? There’s a lot of great tips and tricks coming up - there are even a couple of videos for you. Make sure to subscribe to the blog to make sure you don’t miss any.
