Commitment Awards are handed out to those who have shown great community dedication & commitment, and have reached a specific post-count milestone (1k, 2k, 5k and 10k). We have one member receiving an award this month: Sharna! Sharna is one of the most active and helpful members of the site (look for her to be added to the Mod Squad soon!), and is constantly helping the Corner to run smoothly - a well-earn award to be sure!

Now, if you’re somewhat active in the forums, you’ll know that The_Animal has been around the Corner pretty much since the beginning (almost 7 years ago), but just hit the 1,000 post milestone last night (and that’s including the use of his Gratuitous Post-Count Increasing Thread). 1,000 posts is 1,000 posts, though. Here’s to hoping it doesn’t take another 7 years to reach 2,000.

In a couple of days the November 2008 Newsletter should be going out, which means that it’s time to hand out Commitment Awards to those that have reached milestones with regards to their post-count in the past month. And by awards, I mean award, as there’s only one person who has reached a milestone in the past month (come on, people, step it up!). So let’s do whatever it is you do when congratulating people online (toast them, clap for them sitting there in front of your computer, yell out a big Hip-Hip-Hooray…)… to Kevin (aka Kevin Griffin) for reaching the 2,000 post mark this past month!

As I promised last month, I'm going to start handing out the Commitment Awards every month. But you guys gotta make it worth my while! We have a lone member who's reached a milestone in the past month, though there a bunch of you that are super close... maybe next month. ;) Congrats goes to sweetrosie_99 for reaching the 5,000 post mark!

It seems like more and more people are hitting posting milestones these days. We have NINE awards to pass out now: one 5k Commitment award, one 2k Commitment award, and seven 1k commitment awards! Wow! Keep up the great work, everyone! After hitting 10,000 Members last week, I'm sure we'll be seeing more of these awards handed out every month. ;)
