October 2011 Bling

Usually a couple of days before each Corner Newsletter goes out we take a couple of minutes to recognize and award members of the Corner who have hit posting milestones over the past month. Commitment Awards are handed out to those who have shown great community dedication & commitment, and have reached a specific post-count milestone (1k, 2k, 5k and 10k). We have three members receiving awards this month: digital2006, no16caddis, and Jriepe. Jriepe is receiving a broze commitment award for reaching the 1,000 post mark (in just over half-a-year!); no16caddis is receiving a silver commitment award for reaching the 2,000 post mark (took him about 3.5 years to get there!); and a Platinum Commitment Award (only the 7th given out to date!) for reaching 10,000 posts goes to digital2006 - not only has Marty reaching a huge post milestone (in less than 5 years!), but he’s also an invaluable member of the Mod Squad here around the Corner. The August 2011 Corner Newsletter should be “hitting the shelves,” within the next hour or so, and before we send out each newsletter we always make sure to hand out Commitment Awards to those that have reached milestones with regards to their post-count in the past month. Commitment Awards are handed out to those who have shown great community dedication & commitment, and have reached a specific post-count milestone (1k, 2k, 5k and 10k). This month we have 2 folks that really haven’t been around the Corner all that long receiving a Bronze Commitment Award: Sharna and Russ. At the rate these 2 are going, they’ll be getting the Silver Commitment Award for hitting 2k posts in no time!

Usually a couple of days before each Corner Newsletter goes out (in this case, the newsletter should be going out later today), we take a couple of minutes to recognize and award members of the Corner who have hit posting milestones over the past month. Commitment Awards are handed out to those who have shown great community dedication & commitment, and have reached a specific post-count milestone (1k, 2k, 5k and 10k). We have two members receiving awards this month: MedicGreg, and drc928. It took Greg just over 5 years to reach the 2,000 post milestone (who actually hit it a month ago), and Damon got to the 1k mark in a little under 2.5 years (both on a steady pace of just over 1 post/day!). Even though I keep telling everyone I’m not working for the next 2 weeks so I can watch the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, I do plan out writing and sending out the newsletter sometime this week. Commitment Awards are handed out to those who have shown great community dedication & commitment, and have reached a specific post-count milestone (1k, 2k, 5k and 10k). We have three members receiving awards this month: fatcatphotos, cup4tml and Photologic Images. Nonetheless, we want to celebrate those members of the Corner who are receiving Commitment Awards this month. August 2008 Bling

A day or two before the Corner Newsletter goes out, we take a couple of minutes to see who’s reached posting milestones here around the Corner. This month, however, we’ve only got 1 person who’s receiving a Commitment Award - newlove. It is very fitting that Lise is receiving an award this month, as she has been putting a LOT of effort into the Corner Chats, as well as organizing some of the site improvements (more to come on that later today) and suggestions for making the Corner a better place. Thanks to everyone who continues to contribute to the Corner, and congratulations to newlove who is receiving the award below!

Back to School Bling

Some people have been getting on me to hand out some more bling, and sure enough, it’s been about 7 weeks since I last handed out the bling.
