2006 PotY Contest Update - 65% of Entries Sent Back

As I’ve been going through all the entries for the contest, I’ve had to reject quite a few of them. While I’ve received almost 400 entries, over 65% of them have been rejected and sent back. As of the time I’m posting this, there are 2 days - 48 hours - to get your submissions in. If you’ve received an email from me today asking you to resubmit your photograph, please take a couple of minutes to re-read the Rules and the Submission Guidelines. I promise it will only take you a couple of minutes to read. Most of the entries are being rejected because of the following reasons:

António Oliveira Amen Wins the First PotM of 2007

António Oliveira Amen (username: amen) was just announced as the winner of the January 2007 Photograph of the Month, but it was a close one! Take a look at the voting thread. Amen’s photo Fishing at Sunset won by only 1 vote over ciaran’s Blinded by Cataracts, with Winter Sunset by Mark99 only a couple of votes behind. What a great collection again this month.

Voting goes until about midnight, GMT on December 24th (yes, I know that’s Christmas Eve), and the winner will be announced on December 25th (yes, I know that’s Christmas Day… how cool will it be for the winner to find out they won like $900 worth of stuff on Christmas Day, eh?).
