When we originally released the Corner Community Chat schedule for 2008, we had yet to figure out anything regarding the November 26th chat. We don’t have a topic, nor do we have a host for this chat, so it’s a free-for-all. Show up and chat about whatever you want to. Meet up in the Corner Chat Room tonight at 7pm ET (midnight GMT), and hang out as long as you’d like - but remember to clean up after yourselves!

In a couple of days the November 2008 Newsletter should be going out, which means that it’s time to hand out Commitment Awards to those that have reached milestones with regards to their post-count in the past month. Commitment Awards are handed out to those who have shown great community dedication & commitment, and have reached a specific post-count milestone (1k, 2k, 5k and 10k). And by awards, I mean award, as there’s only one person who has reached a milestone in the past month (come on, people, step it up!). Following the voting period at the end of each month, we tally the votes and crown a photograph as the Photograph of the Month. This month richard peters, for the second time in 2008, has one of his photograph declared the Photograph of the Month. You know how the saying goes: “The eyes are the window to the soul.” In photography, the eyes, especially in portrait photography, make or break the photograph. Contest Corner Challenge #42: Window to the Soul challenges members of the Corner to photograph someone, and make their eyes be the main subject of the photograph. I know technically it's not Friday anymore (well, maybe in Hawaii still...), but I haven't gone to sleep yet, and I'm vacation, so that's got to count for something. Besides, I really wanted to get this interview out, 'cause it's a great one. The week's SmugMug Corner features a great, young photographer by the name of Miles Boyer from Springfield, Missouri.
