Round 1 of the 2012 Photograph of the Year Contest is Complete!

Round 1 is in the books. The top 5 photographs in each group of round 1 in the 2012 Photograph of the Year contest are moving on to the final voting round (which will begin this weekend!). Some of the votes were very close. Check out the final voting results in each round here:

The over $12,500 in prizes for the contest are listed on the Prizes page. Prizes will be awarded after the final voting round is complete on January 28th, 2013. We have seventeen sponsors for this contest who are supplying the majority of the prizes. Make sure you check out each of the sponsors listed on the sponsors page - without their support, this contest (or PhotographyCorner) would not exist. Cast Your Votes for the 2012 Photograph of the Year Contest

It’s finally here! It’s time to cast our votes for the 2012 Photograph of the Year contest!! Due to the number of entries, we break the voting down into 2 rounds. The top five photographs in each group (the five photographs that receive the most votes) will be placed into the final round where they will be voted on to decide the 10 prize winners.

To better understand the multi-round voting process, visit the 2012 Photograph of the Year Voting Guidelines thread for more information. Make sure to cast a vote in all 5 of the Round 1 groups!

A New Change This Year: You will be able to vote for as many photographs as you’d like in each group (but you’ll only be allowed to vote once).

You have until Wednesday, January 16th to cast your votes. Browse through the entries in each group by going to the 2012 Photograph of the Year Photo Gallery, then head on over to the polls and vote for your favorite photographs.

After a month-long entry period, then anxiously waiting for voting to begin, we’re finally in the home stretch. Voting in Round 1 of the 2010 Photograph of the Year contest ended last night, and the top 3 photographs, as voted on by the PhotographyCorner community, have been announced. Round 1 Winners of the 2009 Photograph of the Year Contest

After well over 2,000 votes in round 1 of the 2009 Photograph of the Year contest, it’s time to find out which photographs will move on to the final voting round. The entries were initially split up into 7 “groups” with 21 photographs in each group. The top three photographs from each group will move on to the final round. With voting complete, we’ve tallied up the votes and announced which photographs will battle it out for the $10,000 in prizes, including a $3,250 grand prize.

Round 1 Voting for the 2009 PotY Has Begun!

Over a month after we announced the PhotographyCorner.com 2009 Photograph of the Year contest with $10,000 in prizes (brought to you by PhotoBook Press and the other fine sponsors), it’s finally time for the community to cast their votes. Time to Vote in Round 1 of the 2008 Photograph of the Year Contest

Entries were due in by January 7th, and a week later (aka late last night), voting began for the 2008 Photograph of the Year Contest. As we’ve done in the past, due to the number of entries, voting is split up into 2 voting rounds. This year, however, instead of only the top photograph from each group in the first round moving on to the final round, the top TWO photographs from each group move on. You can check out this thread that is stickied at the top of the Photograph of the Year Forum to see all the voting guidelines.
