The September 2011 Corner Newsletter - Better Late Than Never

Despite the fact that the Corner server has been a little grumpy over the past couple of days, the September newsletter was sent out late last night. SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #5: Winners and Hunt Results

Five months ago we announced a contest series called SmugMug Scavenger Hunts and a little over a month ago, we announced the last scavenger hunt with the objective to locate 15 photographs on SmugMug.com. The entries are in, and now it’s time (well, it was supposed to be a week ago… thanks for being so patient with me) to find out who has been randomly selected from the entries to win the last Pro Account, the last Power Account and the last Standard Account. And the winner are…

SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #5 (The Last One!)

SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #5 is our last SmugMug Scavenger Hunt. If you’ve been around the Corner for the past 4 months, you know what a SmugMug Scavenger Hunt is, but for the new folks around the Conrer, it’s like a normal scavenger hunt, but instead of looking for things outside, you’re looking for specific photographs found on the SmugMug site. You can read the rules and how-tos here. This is your last chance to win yourself a free SmugMug Pro, Power or Standard account (a 1-year subscription - we award 1 of each). Your task is to find the below 15 photographs, and email links to those photographs to smugmug@photographycorner.com.

SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #4: Winners and Hunt Results

A few months ago we announced a contest series called SmugMug Scavenger Hunts and about a month ago, we announced the 2nd-to-last scavenger hunt with the objective to locate 15 photographs on SmugMug.com. The entries are in, and now it’s time to find out who has been randomly selected from the entries to win a Pro Account, a Power Account and a Standard Account. And the winner are…

SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #4

SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #4 is our second-to-last SmugMug Scavenger Hunt (it’s like a normal scavenger hunt, but instead of looking for things outside, you’re looking for specific photographs found on the SmugMug site). You can read the rules and how-tos here. This is your second-to-last chance to win yourself a free SmugMug Pro, Power or Standard account (a 1-year subscription - we award 1 of each). Your task is to find the below 15 photographs, and email links to those photographs to smugmug@photographycorner.com.

SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #3: Winners and Hunt Results

Three months ago we announced a new contest series called SmugMug Scavenger Hunts and about a month ago, we announced the 3rd (of 5 in total) scavenger hunt with the objective to locate 15 photographs on SmugMug.com. We changed things up a little for the SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #3 and instead of announcing the Pro Account, Power Account and Standard Account winners throughout the hunt, we decided to announce the winners all at once. And the winner are…

SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #2: Power Account Winner

Last month we announced a new contest series called SmugMug Scavenger Hunts and we’re already smack-dab in the middle of SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #2. The objective is to locate 15 new photographs on SmugMug.com (you can see the list here), and now it’s time to award the second of 3 SmugMug Accounts (actually, we were supposed to announce a winner a couple of days ago… oops!). This time up for grabs is a SmugMug Power Account. So how do we pick a winner? Well, gather all the entries we received in the first two weeks, and we stick their usernames in a hat (well, actually an online randomizer). We (the randomizer) then picks out one of the correct answers, and they win a SmugMug Power account… it’s as easy as that. And the winner is…

SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #1 - Standard Account Winner and Hunt Results

A month ago we announced a new contest series called SmugMug Scavenger Hunts along with the first contest: SmugMug Scavenger Hunt #1 with an objective was to locate 15 photographs on SmugMug.com. One week after announcing the contest, we awarded our first prize: a 1-year subscription to a SmugMug Pro Account to Scott111184. Then, a week later, we announced the winner of a SmugMug Power Account: redrisker. Now today we announce our final prize for the SmugMug Scanvenger Hunt #1 (as well as reveal all of the photographs from the hunt). And the winner is…

No SmugMug Corner Again This Week

In case you didn’t notice, there’s no SmugMug Corner again this week. No one’s fault, really. We just didn’t get an of them done in time. Instead, why not take a look at the past 22 SmugMug Corner’s and make sure you haven’t missed any of them!

SmugMug Goes SmugMungous

We all know who SmugMug is (an awesome online photo-sharing site) and what they do (it's way more than just photo-sharing these days). They've been (and continue to be) great sponsors here around the Corner. And today, they've made some big announcements: bigger photo display sizes and astounding video capabilities.

SmugMug Corner #10: Andy Williams

If you stayed up late last night waiting for SmugMug Corner #10, I apologize. I didn't get the complete interview until 10pm last night. ;) Blame Andy, not me. But trust me, it's well worth waiting for. This week we meet Andy Williams, the General Manager and House Professional at SmugMug...

SmugMug Corner #9: Miles Boyer

I know technically it's not Friday anymore (well, maybe in Hawaii still...), but I haven't gone to sleep yet, and I'm vacation, so that's got to count for something. Besides, I really wanted to get this interview out, 'cause it's a great one. The week's SmugMug Corner features a great, young photographer by the name of Miles Boyer from Springfield, Missouri. Anyways, read through the interview and enjoy the photographs. Don't forget to leave Miles and I some comments as well!

Check Your Inbox - You've Got a Newsletter Waiting For You

It’s almost the weekend, but you’ve got one last thing to add to your todo list: read the October 2007 PhotographyCorner Newsletter. This month’s newsletter was sponsored by SmugMug, and in addition to their sponsorship, they’ve also announced a pretty sweet contest of their own. I could go through all the highlights, but it’s probably better if you just read it yourself. Check your inbox. If it’s not there, make sure you allow emails from admin@photographycorner.com. You may also want to check to make sure you’ve got your PhotographyCorner account set up to accept emails from Administrators. If all else fails, it’s posted up in the forums, too.
