Press Release: Tamron Announces Full-Day Travel & Landscape Photography Seminars

Tamron, one of our favorite sponsors here around the Corner, has recently announced four, full-day photo seminars in the US, and I thought I'd pass along the dates and locations to you. Check out their press release below, and if any of you end up attending, let me know about it. Professional photographer Sandra Nykerk is going to present "Stepping Stones for the Photographic Trail: A Guide to the Creative Image" - sounds like it'll be a great day!

Reminder: Corner Community Chat - November 5th - Travel Time

When we originally released the Corner Community Chat schedule for 2008, we had yet to figure out the topic of our November 5th chat. newlove, the wonderful mod here at the Corner that has been organizing all these chats, came up with another fantastic theme: Travel Time (no, not Time Travel!) where we can discuss places we’ve lived or visited, and where the best “photography spots” are located in those places. Bring a pen and paper and get ready to take notes so you can plan your next photographic vacation. Meet us in the Corner Chat Room this Wednesday night at 7pm ET (midnight GMT), and we’ll be going until around 9pm ET (2am GMT) and bring some of your best photographic locations along with you! Read more »

But I can’t really tell you how or what to pack – we all have different bags, different gear, different destinations, and different photographic priorities. Instead, here are some general tips on traveling with your gear (from deciding what to bring, how to bring it, and what hotels to book). Read more »
