This week we meet the PhotographyCorner.com 2006 Photograph of the Year winning photographer Winston "Rocky" Rockwell from beautiful Washington state. In our 67th edition of the popular photographer interview series "SmugMug Corner," we meet 31-year-old financial advisor Jason Hummel. While he's a financial advisor by day, his photography is anything but boring - from mountain climbing to skiing, kayaking; anything that's outside. Every other Friday we get the chance to chat with a SmugMug photographer and browse through some of their favorite photos in a series we call "SmugMug Corner". In our 66th installment we meet court reporter/nature photographer Renae Smith who hails from the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

You’re probably as surprised as I was to find out that the winner of the October 2009 Photograph of the Month contest, squirl033 had never received Photograph of the Month honors until now. Winston “Rocky” Rockwell’s PhotographyCorner resume include the winner of the 2006 Photograph of the Year, and he placed third in the 2008 Photograph of the Year contest. But the October 2009 Photograph of the Month marks his first monthly win. The winning photograph titled “Shuksan Afternoon,” is a 5-shot vertical stitch taken in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (Mount Shuksan in Washington).

Ok, I know it's technically not Friday anymore, but I have a good excuse. The in-laws dropped by from out of town unexpected for the weekend... like 15 minutes before I was done coding up this interview. Anyways, they've now all gone to bed, and I sneaked back to my office to finish up. It's worth the wait, though.
