The kids were asking for a HS graduation photo for their scrapbook, so I made this for them.

Does this effect work?

Normally I wouldn't care for this effect but for a scrapbook I think it works nicely.

The person in the center turned the otherway around is distracting though...

It works perfectly but is this the final version? (the blur has a very abrupt end at some places)

GREAT idea, and good job. As Shakes pointed out, the blur line is a little stark, especially on Bryan's right arm. I smoothed it out a little using the blur toolbrush.

The blur toolbrush - I have been using PS for over 5 years and I had never used that tool. Thanks for the tip - the perfect tool for the job.

nice effect, i think it works with some minor tweaks mentioned above.
