Starting a photo-print business

Hi all,

I seriously need some real advice and opinions here, being a total newbie who hasn't even shoot a photo before(that's why I'm hiring a photographer soon).

OK......

I'm currently working on starting an online store selling original photo prints of beautiful nature scenes and scenic landscape.
You can see some examples of what I'm talking about at :

1) http://www.topdesktop.net/poster/nature2.htm
2) http://posters.spirithit.com/scenic/c50887-nature-scene-posters.html

Ain't these nature landscape shoots so nice and alluring?

What I'll be doing is that my store will only sell landscape and nature scenes photo prints and nothing else(niche field).
When a customer browse my store and selects the image he likes, the image will be printed out and sent to him, done up in a frame(also selectable).

My main question is : given your experience, guys......are landscape/nature scenes photo-prints considered in demand and popular?
How do they stack up against other categories of photos?(like vintage, new age, animals, abstract, women, objects etc.)

I'm quite torn between this nature photo prints option and fantasy landscapes option.
By fantasy landscapes, I mean those like the ones below :

Eagerly awaiting your advice, all!

I think the demand for each type depends on your market. Personally I would think that the actual landscape and nature photos would sell better than the fantasy type, but you could always offer them both. But thats just my opinon. Good luck in your business!
