I know this site is new... but what is it missing? What sorts of things would you like to see on this site that's not here? What would make your stay at PhotographyCorner a more enjoyable one? What would keep you coming back everyday?

Tim,
in this page
http://www.photographycorner.com/index.php
On the right hand side you have links like , view posts since last visit, view posts that I started etc,

I would like a link which says view posts that I participated in...

One more thing I would like on this site is a dedicated place/section for all photography related links, people can submit links here. For example if I find a link which has the lab test results for 100 kinds of film, I will post that link in that section

Tim, One more observation.
I wanted to look for photgraphers in my area so I decided to check the memberlist in this site.

Right now you allow only sorting.
How about filtering the result as well.... In time the forum will grow and then one will have tough time locating/searching for other members

I would like a link which says view posts that I participated in...There's a "view your posts" section there... but you want something different than that? I'm not sure this software can do that or not... hmmm... I'll look into it.

That's an excellent idea for another section to the site, though... I'll keep it in mind. :D

I actually previously looked into that very feature, and it doesn't exist for this software yet, as far as I can tell. phpbb (the forum software that this board runs on) is coming out with a new version sometime this summer, probably... if it has enough useful features, I might switch over. :D

Perhaps you can create a search directory. Creating a search directory is pretty straight forward. I think it can be a good addition to your website; not to mention that it can drive more traffic to this website. You can create a search directory like this one (http://www.cgedonline.net/dir/en/), this is actually a part of my website. If you are interested, I can work on that with you.

Yeah, I was actually thinking of doing something like that as a way to organize some outgoing links. What script did you use for it?

I used http://websight.sourceforge.net/site/ and made some modification which is described here (http://www.internet-marketing-research.net/forums/ftopic7296.html).

I just updated this article, "Creating a user/search engine friendly directory (http://www.internet-marketing-research.net/forums/ftopic7296.html)" if you are still interested. Also if you'd like, you can have a copy of this modified directory script. I don't know exactly how yet, but we'll figure something. Let me know ...

When you comment on something, the site can send you a notification when a reply is posted, if you want to go thru your e mail. Ive done that in other forums when I post shots there to see what people think.

This forum has that option... go into your profile. ;)

Kara, you can do that in this forum. :0) Its in your profile, if your not getting an email, its probably unchecked.

Thats what I meant. In lieu of having to change things around if its not a hassle for you, and you check your e mail often for sinha_punit it maybe a viable option

:P:lol:

Weird, I thought it was odd that I didnt get any email notifications that any of the posts I replied to was replied to again. Usually as somone posts it lets me know right away. I wonder if its a problem with the site or with my isp/email?

Thats what i meant
