Walker May 22nd, 2004, 09:16 AM It still turned out pretty decent... but yeah, looks like the focus was a little too close to the lens. Good work, though... practive makes perfect. ;) suemack May 22nd, 2004, 09:22 AM getting to the end of rose season here as we're heading into winter - but am sure I can find other flowers to take pics of :D Tim L. Walker May 22nd, 2004, 10:15 AM Ahh, yes... you're heading into winter down under just as we head into summer up here. Should make for a good variety of pictures throughout the year that way. ;) suemack May 22nd, 2004, 10:55 AM we're lucky in that we don't get too cold here.....but do get an awful lot of mud  liked the shapes of this fruitsalad flower ...taken outside in a fairly dark place in the garden..... fromIMR May 22nd, 2004, 02:02 PM Rose is really nice. Personally, I would've liked without driblet. suemack May 22nd, 2004, 02:08 PM thankyou :D .....unfortunately there were an awful lot of driblets around today ......if it's fine will go and have another go tomorrow altyfc May 22nd, 2004, 11:22 PM Nice one. Here's my token rose shot. http://www.paul-johnson.co.uk/photos/valentines-day.jpg Aaron Tim L. Walker May 22nd, 2004, 11:40 PM I love that shot, Aaron... I think you posted it earlier, but I think it's a great shot. fromIMR May 23rd, 2004, 02:21 AM Nice one. Here's my token rose shot. True English rose grown in England. suemack May 23rd, 2004, 03:24 AM that's lovely Aaron Tim L. Walker May 23rd, 2004, 04:33 AM True English rose grown in England. Yeah, exactly... can't find roses like that around here. :o uflraptor May 25th, 2004, 03:35 PM These are some great floral photos. I've always liked the ones that capture the moisture. Shawn Tim L. Walker May 25th, 2004, 08:16 PM Yeah, I agree, Shawn. Catching shots with dew or precipitation is always great... it adds a lot of flavor to the shot. jrpublicity May 27th, 2004, 03:27 AM Really nice one Aaron. I always love flower photos. I may just have to post a few of my own photos... Jenna Tim L. Walker May 27th, 2004, 03:58 AM Yes, you should do that, Jenna... we'd love to see some. :D Ovidiu May 28th, 2004, 03:50 AM hello everybody, just found this nice place and thought I'd add some of my photos. Btw how did you already decide on the Picture of the month for may, I mean over here may is still going on ;-) Details about the picture can be found inside the exif data. Tim L. Walker May 28th, 2004, 05:07 AM Welcome to PhotographyCorner, Ovidiu. If you have a chance, introduce yourself in the Members Introduction section. I guess the phrase "Photography of the Month for May" is a bit misleading... Maybe I should reword it to "Featured Photography of the Month" ;) I like your photo... it's a little busy for a flower shot, but the color and dof is good. :D I look forward to seeing more. Ovidiu May 28th, 2004, 01:58 PM I like your photo... it's a little busy for a flower shot, but the color and dof is good. :D I look forward to seeing more. I did a close up as well but I was not really happy with the light at that moment. That thing was hanging high above my head so I had no real chance to get into another position to see how it would look if the sun came from another direction. Btw. I had watched The Last Samurai some days before taking the picture so I was thinking of getting a shot of the perfect cherry blossom - but I think it is an apple blossom Tim L. Walker May 28th, 2004, 10:59 PM Hehe... looks good nonetheless... I like the 2nd one better for sure. :D Cherry blossom, apple blossom... close enough. ;) Jack Cowley May 29th, 2004, 01:26 AM This is one of the first pictures I took when I got my Olympus D-560 not quite a year ago (I just purchased a Minolta A1). I removed the background with the Olympus sofware and brightened it a little. Oh, it is not really an orchid... Jack Tim L. Walker May 29th, 2004, 01:38 AM Hey Jack, welcome to PhotographyCorner. Great shot! and excellent cropping job. Well done. Tell us more about the shot. Jack Cowley May 29th, 2004, 01:46 AM Thank you Tim. I am glad to be a member of what looks like the beginnings of a terrific forum! The shot was happenstance as the lady across the street was watering her flowers. When she moved on I set the camera to macro and took a few shots. This had the best lighting, and best focus so this is the one I show. Since the Olympus is fully automatic you have to take what the camera gives you and that is why I just 'upgraded' to the Minolta A1. Regardless, I am still very happy with the clarity of the photo.... :D Jack Tim L. Walker May 29th, 2004, 02:10 AM Yeah, it turned out well... especially considering it was done with an automatic camera. If you have a chance, introduce yourself to the rest of the community in the Members Introduction section. :D Jack Cowley May 29th, 2004, 02:13 AM I will do that! I had started to do it earlier but I got waylaid... :( Jack | Sponsored Ads: |
