JCPhoto October 4th, 2004, 02:33 AM I happened to find a book written by the photographer who runs this site. The book was the best resource of general photography and studio lighting I've ever read. His site also has a lot of info that is free and available. In his book he makes some of the more difficult aspects of photography very easy to understand. He made ratio's and the inverse law so simple that I can figure out most problems in my head. Check out his site and see what you think.

I'm sorry. It's hard to try and be funny when you write things out.
It always seems more humorous in your head.
Old brain - not enough sleep!
herins October 4th, 2004, 10:44 AM Don't worry, I was laughing! I enjoy witty banter! And I get age jokes allll the time, cuz I'm 27 and still get id'd (the legal age is 18 here).

I'm glad you took it in the way it was intended. I'm 56 and wish someone would card me. My daughter is 33 and looks 17. Her secret is clean living and mine was too many parties when I was your age. It was fun but that was the age when we never thought we would make it past 30. So next time someone ID's you smile and think of us old fart's who wish they were that age.
My God I think I depressed myself
GerryDavid October 4th, 2004, 09:35 PM JC, perhaps you get id'ed so you can get your senior citizen discount. :0)
I didnt get id'ed for buying lottery tickets till after I turned 18, im 25 and still get id'ed at times, although I rarely buy any now that they doubled the cost of them. It was a waste of money before, hehe.
JCPhoto October 5th, 2004, 05:38 AM That's about the only way I would get carded.
Back on topic a bit, I posted about the site that related to studio photography. Here is another site I found that has the posing style of Joe Zeltsman. He is a famous poser. No not that kind. He perfected the classic portrait posing method. I printed out his guide and use it as my posing bible. Here's the site.

By the way here is a sad note for the other old timers on the forum.
What with all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry La Prise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in . . . and then the trouble started.
