Soopah October 5th, 2004, 02:37 AM I just snapped a quick three shots of Madeline. Still working out the kinks obviously, but I think once I get the hang of it, this will make a really nice fine art lens.
Just FYI- It will meter TTL on Canons only. On Nikons, you have to use it in manual mode. On the Canon, you can use it in Av mode. :)
A.J.Reams October 5th, 2004, 02:56 AM Oh blah blah blah....just a couple quick shots. These pictures are really nice and she's totally adorable. Looks like you'll be having lots of fun with the lensbaby.
Soopah October 5th, 2004, 02:58 AM Angie! *snicker*
Seriously though, I did shoot these pretty fast, I was in my backyard in my nightgown, and my daughter was crabbing at me to hurry up.
Tim L. Walker October 5th, 2004, 03:32 AM Hehe... looks cool, though the photos are kinda small - hard to see the exact effect. Looking forward to seeing an actual photograph (as opposed to a "snapshot" with the lensbaby) - looks like fun! :D
Soopah October 5th, 2004, 03:52 AM Tim, here's the stand alone shots.
Tim L. Walker October 5th, 2004, 04:01 AM Ahhh... I see... looks cool... I bet it will take a bit of practice to get it to do exactly what you want, though, eh? How do you choose the point of focus?
Soopah October 5th, 2004, 04:02 AM You just push it around until it looks right.
herins October 5th, 2004, 04:11 AM Yay! Congratulations! Looks like you'll have a lot of fun with that baby! Is it tricky to manipulate?
Soopah October 5th, 2004, 04:19 AM A little. It definetly has a learning curve. It's going to take me some time to get a real feel for it. I think the trickiest part is holding the camera with your fingers, while you try to focus the lens.
Tim L. Walker October 5th, 2004, 04:34 AM Hehe... looking forward to seeing the learning curve as you get the hang of it... I bet you could end up taking some pretty neat shots with it... can you use other lenses with it as well?
Soopah October 5th, 2004, 05:19 AM use other lenses how Tim? It IS a lens. That's all it is. It's a lens like my 300mm is a lens. It just goes on my Rebel body.
Kara October 5th, 2004, 05:43 AM LMAO Tim! Are you serious or just being funny
I love it, its on my lens list, imagine being able to have a holga - without all the black tape, the MF film, and the developing costs.
Not to mention, if you want to change a slot slightly... consider it done! They look tricky to start out with - am I right in believing the lens has little billows, so you can aim from side to side?
Tim L. Walker October 5th, 2004, 06:20 AM  I guess I was picturing it in my head somehow... like a filter or something...
Kara October 5th, 2004, 07:15 AM um its a lens.
Tim L. Walker October 5th, 2004, 07:59 AM Yeah, I realize that now...
Kara October 5th, 2004, 08:06 AM Its okay Tim, we all have our days ;)
Tim L. Walker October 5th, 2004, 08:09 AM Today was definitely a day like that. ;)
PictureCow October 5th, 2004, 04:12 PM I love them! I was waiting to see how much you liked yours before I ordered mine! Now why couldn't it have come when I was in your neck of the woods so I could play with it too! :P
Tim L. Walker October 5th, 2004, 08:33 PM *just so you know, I removed some "bickering" posts that were in this thread, if you have a problem or a question about that, PM me, don't continue the petty arguing on the forum.
Michelle October 5th, 2004, 08:37 PM Soooo..........maybe I missed it somewhere, but what kind of lens is it? Looks fabulous!
PictureCow October 5th, 2004, 08:39 PM And I thought nothing good was going to happen today! LOL
You know there should be a forum for just that purpose where anything goes.
Please Please Tim make a ***** and moan forum!!
A forum where flaming is ok If you don't want to be flamed, don't go the hell in there.
Tim L. Walker October 5th, 2004, 08:40 PM LOL - that's called email. :)
PictureCow October 5th, 2004, 08:42 PM Yeah but email is not for the whole world to enjoy and be entertained with! Oh common!! It would be really cathartic!!
Tim L. Walker October 5th, 2004, 08:43 PM I'll think about it. ;)
Kara October 5th, 2004, 10:16 PM Ha! Id pay to see that forum
