The Lensbaby is here!

I just snapped a quick three shots of Madeline. Still working out the kinks obviously, but I think once I get the hang of it, this will make a really nice fine art lens.

Just FYI- It will meter TTL on Canons only. On Nikons, you have to use it in manual mode. On the Canon, you can use it in Av mode. :)

Seriously though, I did shoot these pretty fast, I was in my backyard in my nightgown, and my daughter was crabbing at me to hurry up. :lol:

Hehe... looks cool, though the photos are kinda small - hard to see the exact effect. Looking forward to seeing an actual photograph (as opposed to a "snapshot" with the lensbaby) - looks like fun! :D

Ahhh... I see... looks cool... I bet it will take a bit of practice to get it to do exactly what you want, though, eh? How do you choose the point of focus?

You just push it around until it looks right. :lol:

Yay! Congratulations! Looks like you'll have a lot of fun with that baby! Is it tricky to manipulate?

A little. It definetly has a learning curve. It's going to take me some time to get a real feel for it. I think the trickiest part is holding the camera with your fingers, while you try to focus the lens. :lol:

Hehe... looking forward to seeing the learning curve as you get the hang of it... I bet you could end up taking some pretty neat shots with it... can you use other lenses with it as well?

use other lenses how Tim? It IS a lens. That's all it is. It's a lens like my 300mm is a lens. It just goes on my Rebel body.

I love it, its on my lens list, imagine being able to have a holga - without all the black tape, the MF film, and the developing costs.

Not to mention, if you want to change a slot slightly... consider it done! They look tricky to start out with - am I right in believing the lens has little billows, so you can aim from side to side?
