For all you horse lovers

I came across these horses one day and could not resist taking this photo. I love it!! Let me know what you think (critique it if you want). My scanner makes it appear a bit soft...this is not the case with the picture.

I shot this on Fuji 400 negative film with my Nikon n-75 and a 75-300 nikon lens.

To much going on in the frame - very distracting.
1) Fence on the right
2) Wire across the frame
3) Horse tail on the left
4) Tallgrass on the left
5) Horse head in the back
6) horse in the middle
my eyes doesn't know what to focus on. I actually do like the horse head in the back ground, it adds to the photo.

I actually quite like the busy composition of this, it looks like a moment in a pasture that you just stumbled across and that's exactly what you said it was. This is what horses might be doing in those circumstances. I think the foal is a bit bright and could be toned down overall, but I like it. It's a bit like street photography...in a field!:)

This is exactly how I feel...I know that it is busy, but I tried to blur out the distractions using the aperature. Thanks for the replies!
