I just bought a cheapy from ebay to see how it will go before I buy a good one for $200 or so...

my question is, my background sheet that goes inside the bottom and back, was folded and the lines come through big time.

I didn't have good lighting, I'm getting an alienbee tommorrow so would stronger light help that? or do I need to get the iron out?

thanks

I have found now I get a nice smooth background if I use thin flexible poster board material instead of the cloth.

does anyone else use this?

thanks

a piece of seamless paper works well also. and if you want to float the subject, without shadows you can place your subject on a Plexiglas's rizer

yes, poster board works very well. I'll also have several rolls of paper in different colors that I got from a craft store (about 36 inches wide) that is great for small items. I made a little stand from pvc pipes for the rolls of paper.
