Which Manfrotto tripod and head are you using?
Henry's (http://www.henrys.com) has tons of parts for Manfrotto tripods.

Bogen/Manfrotto makes a complete line of QR heads. Personally, I don't like their QR heads and plates. I opted to go with an Arca-Swiss style which provides a much more secure connection than Bogen style.

Would I have to remove the head that is on the tripod now?

Probably. But that's not a big deal -- other than the cost of a new head. But, what price does one place on securing their expensive SLR system to the tripod?

Is it a Digi-series tripod? If it is then you can't remove the head. That's why I asked which tripod/head combo you have :)

The Tripod is #190SH
The Head is #056

Would not know how to remove the head.

How does that work? Usually you have to have a different head what will accept QR plates.
