When it came out, it was marketed to the advanced amateur market. If I were looking for a Nikon film camera, I'd look for a nice used N90. You should be able to pick one up for <$300. The advantage over a "beginner" camera is that it will have features that you can grow into. You can start on full auto if you want, and slowly remove the "training wheels" so to speak as you get more comfortable with it. I highly recommend www.keh.com . Their prices are pretty good, and their used equipment is top-notch. I just bought a used Canon EOS 1N from them and have no complaints. maheanuu March 14th, 2005, 06:07 AM I agree drlynn, I just purchased a lens from them and it was perfect in all respects.. Price was reasonable and all worked out fine kixphotography March 14th, 2005, 09:53 AM Ehh....get a F100 drlynn March 15th, 2005, 02:03 AM The F100 is a really nice camera, but $6-900 for a first body to learn on seems a bit extreme to me. I saw an N90 on keh.com in excellent condition for $235, and a "bargain" rated one for $189. If that bargain rated camera is anything like the EOS 1N I just bought (also bargain rated) you can count the paint scratches on your hands with fingers left over. It's beautiful, almost like new. kixphotography March 15th, 2005, 04:06 AM I've purchased quite a bit from Keh.com. I usually use bandhphoto.com and check their used selection as well. I bought a super sharp sigma 70-210 push pull lens for 47 dollars. It's auto focus as well. Maybe it's just me, but is seems the push/ pull lenses are a bit clearer and sharper.? Who knows... Lowrideril March 15th, 2005, 02:27 PM yes I checked on F100 out of my price range want to get a good bodt and add from there thanks drlynn for your help going to call keh today as Im selling a Rebel Ti to them. Just read ona site the FE2 or the F3 would be good starter cameras anyone have comments on those/ | Sponsored Ads: |
