I really wanted to go out and shoot (with my camera) some ducks today as I have the day off. I was pretty dissappointed with the heavy cloud cover and low light levels.

The day did start with a brief sunrise.

I did happen across this fellow (I haven't seen more than 2 of these my whole life and here I see two a week apart). He never broke out from this heavy grass he was in, so this is the best shot I got.

I did manage a decent shot of a Redhead Duck

Very nice day you had and some wonderful shots captured. Thanks for sharing these. Great photos, as always.

You did such a great job capturing the eyes. Shooting ducks with a camera has to be more satisfying than shooting them with a gun, don't you think? Thanks for sharing.

Great, you are lucky to be somewhere where you can just go on a walk and capture such a variety of animals and scenery. You may have answered this before but where are you from again?
