Do you set these shots up or happen across interesting subjects? Either way you capture them wonderfully which is what really matters. kris10 April 12th, 2005, 01:32 AM Do these folks know you are taking their photo's? Do you ask them if you can shoot their picture? I have seen a lot of shots I would love to take of people but I am afraid to intrude on their privacy. This is another great image! As mucs as I'm not fond of black and white photos, this makes me change my mind. ciao anastasia... look the original colour shot: http://www.waltmesk.com/pages/people2/2.htm thanks.. walt. A very good photo too, but BW photo has a very special mood. Somehow in the BW pic the attention is concentrated on the man, but in color, the attention looses because of the shop. But its a GREAT no matter what I say  P.S.: thanx for showing me the original. anastasia April 12th, 2005, 02:21 PM By the way, nice site you have with some really good photos. Can you tell if its not a secret, how mucs is the site hosting (so that I can put amount of pics on it)? renee87reed April 12th, 2005, 02:33 PM all these Italy photos make me wanna go back! lovely walt sweetrosie_99 April 12th, 2005, 06:36 PM Do these folks know you are taking their photo's? Thanks for sharing with us!!! I would love to photograph as you do Walt.. kris10 April 13th, 2005, 02:10 AM this is a great problem! sometimes yes, sometimes no....in this photo no....and i'll go in prison! :). I tried to take a shot of a man this past weekend in the mountains and as I took the shot, he started to leave. He had been leaning back in black boots and his leather Harley gear and just looked deep in thought. It would have been a cool picture if I had been faster on the trigger. I was also afraid of him coming after my camera if he caught me..... You are an amazing photographer of "folks". 8) ohenry April 13th, 2005, 02:15 AM Heather...there is no need to play voyeur with a camera. When you see someone that you want to photograph, hold your camera up in a "may I take your picture" gesture. Your subject will either smile and permit it or shake their head no. kris10 April 13th, 2005, 02:39 AM When you see someone that you want to photograph, hold your camera up in a "may I take your picture" gesture. OMG...are you crazy? I just don't think I could do that. I was going to ask that guy but I was afraid he would change his pose. I wanted it the way it was but when people know you are going to shoot a picture they tend to change expressions, poses, etc. The coolest thing about getting those kinds of shots is the "candidness" (if that's even a word). I dunno. One day I will get my guts up to do it. :? ohenry April 13th, 2005, 02:43 AM So, take the picture THEN ask  kris10 April 13th, 2005, 02:52 AM So, take the picture THEN ask How about you come here and be my bodyguard so I can take pictures of strangers all day... ohenry April 13th, 2005, 02:56 AM and NOW..back to walt's wonderful street photography shots..... | Sponsored Ads: |
