lens recommends ?

I have a Canon Digital Rebel. So far I just have the kit lens. I am looking to add a couple more lenses to my inventory. I am on a limited budget so the Canon L lenses would be way out of my budget. I have been looking at the following lenses, the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 DI, the Tamron 24-135 f3.5-5.6 SP, and the Tamron 70-300 f4.5-5.6 LD. Any comments about the above lenses when used on the Rebel ? Or any other ideas suggestions.

I have used tamron 28-75 mm lense on Canon rebel, and I have to say that I was very satisfied with it. I turned out to be very usefull with the zoom range. It also worked good in low light conditions with the aperature wide opened. I think that 28-75mm is a good choice.

The Tamron 28-75 DI is an excellent choice. It is very sharp and has a f/2.8 throughout the range. I have used one on both a DRebel and a 10D with excellent results. Highly recommended and I think it would be wiser choice than the 24-135 despite the wider range. It's just a better lens by Tamron.

I believe there's a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 that would also be a good choice. I can't comment on the Tamron 70-200.

Thanks for the info. I was trying to decide between the 28-75 and the 24-135. Both had some merits. One had the advantage of F2.8 where the other had a little wider range. As for the telephoto I had looked at the sigma 70-200, but being on a limited budget the price was a little out of my range. If I where to buy the 28-75 and the 70-200 that would be about $1200. THe 28-75 and 70-300 would be less the $600. I now the sigma would be a better, but at the present time I do not have the extra money.
