Avatars

Are there any plans to enable avatars on these forums or is it a conscious decision not to allow them...?

I made a decision, at least at this point, to leave them disabled... I think the forum looks cleaner without them... I may add them back in... but fairly small... maybe 50x50... we'll see. ;)

Yeah, I think so too... no images in the sig files, either... makes pages slow to load, too.

Kind of getting off topic here, but I have a question; can you do that from admin panel in phpBB?

I'm not sure if you can prevent pics in sigs easily with phpBB. We just have a sticky post on our's saying that they're not allowed, and anyone that crosses our path gets the full wrath of the mighty aardvark. :P

Yeah, you can control that from the admin panel... you can't not allow images in sigs... if I see one, I'll just PM the person to remove it... if it's not removed within a day or two, I'll just remove it myself.
