Some Prom Shots

Here are some prom shots I took this weekend. I was not impressed by some of them though. The background is horrible and I don't have a clue how to make a mask to do some editing on the backgrounds. Any directions would be great!!!

Ok....My eyes are playing tricks on me... when i first looked at the title of your thread, i thought it said 'Some porn shots', and I thought to myself, who would post that kind of stuff here???

Nice photos. Hope you had a great time at the prom (assuming it was your prom of course).

Bwahahahaha....... That was funny.

Notice I said, I TOOK the photo's. I am just a tad bit too old for the prom though it might have been fun to go. These teenagers had soooooo much energy and didn't seem to mind that they were dressed up and could mess up their clothes with all the running around they were doing. Whew, they made me tired just photographing them. :? There were also a lot of black dresses. I don't think we had many in black (except of course the tuxes) when I was of age to go to the prom.

Thanks. That sounds great! I am messing with it in PS but it seems to get too noticeable the more I try to fix it. :?

Isn't THAT the truth!

You must have had a blast taking these shots! I can imagine the energy level. That's why you never hear of proms being held for the older set, such as me. Only the high schoolers can handle em! They're great pictures, but I agree about the background. Once you learn how to change that, you're on a roll. I have messed around a little bit with changes such as this, but I'm not too skilled. I wondered about whether one of the Wacom Tablets would be helpful.

I'm a dork...I don't know what that is.

kkrishna, Prom is a huge dance they have in high school for the juniors and seniors. The school usually rents a nice building like a Civic Center or something and the kids get dressed up formally in nice dresses and tuxedo's and some rent limo's. They usually go out for dinner before to a nice restaurant and then go to the prom (the dance) and then a lot of them continue the party afterwards at various places all night long. (I am definitely too old for that all night long part.) It's a lot of fun. I remember mine....well most of the times during it.....

You are very welcome. I have an "email penpal" this is from India. I met him online and have been emailing him now for about 6 years. The internet can be an amazing thing!!!

I've only looked a little bit at them, so I may be a little sketchy on the actual description, but it's a tablet that hooks into the computer that you use a pen type device to draw on when using Photoshop rather than using the mouse or pad on your laptop. Hope that makes sense. I just wondered if it would give one more control when using certain functions in PS.

I have a Wacom tablet. It takes some getting used to, but it does give better control for certain actions in Photoshop, such as selections, pressure sensitive brushes, etc.

So, my description was pretty close (for layman's terms)?

That sounds pretty cool! I am not happy with the brushes and when trying to "clone" out or "paint" over a background, it's really hard to get close in around the hair without making it look like bad.
