This was one of those quick shots - I was taking a photo of something else and a friend peeked around the corner.
Does it work with part of the face cut off?
ohenry April 27th, 2005, 04:52 PM Works for me, but I might be tempted to trim off some of the black space to the right and see how that looks.

Thanks Carl - I am guessing you meant trim left - like this?
ohenry April 27th, 2005, 05:04 PM yes...I was also looking at it again and thinking maybe some off the bottom (tighter on his chin). Just play with it and see what you like and what seems balanced.
It's a great shot, btw.

Excelent suggestion - I like it much better like this.
Thanks
callady10 April 27th, 2005, 06:13 PM I love the composition on this. You've included just enough of his left eye. nice contrast
iquadri April 28th, 2005, 09:15 AM yes Now it looks nice after you cropped chin.

yaya02 April 28th, 2005, 10:40 AM It's amazing what a simple crop can do. Great shot.
shiburavi April 28th, 2005, 12:58 PM That's a good photograph. Accidently taken, but has come out good.
I was just wondering what were you planning to take, because the BG is dark and i see nothing else !!

I do have a color version. The first time I saw it though - I thought BW.

That's a fair question - I didn't think anyone would think of that. This was taken from the deck of my vacation /future retirement house. The original was taken outside on the deck looking in - he was just peeking outside. It is a log home and the background was dark. My shot before that was shooting towards the flower garden and golf green.
yaya02 April 28th, 2005, 04:48 PM Oh yeah.... B/W all the way!
Patman10 April 28th, 2005, 05:34 PM I'm sorry I don't see anything of value in this photo no matter how you crop it.
