I am debating between the two based on two factors. The color and the crop. Both of which can be done in either combination. Feedback please.

Which one?callady10 May 1st, 2005, 07:17 AM I am debating between the two based on two factors. The color and the crop. Both of which can be done in either combination. Feedback please. beautyofchico May 1st, 2005, 12:57 PM I like the B&W better. Normally I am for color photography, but in this case, blending out the colors makes the subject look much better. With the color photograph you can see that small redness at the corner of her eye and her hair color contrast stands out too much and is distracting. In the B&W version, her skin looks smoother. Nice capture! beautyofchico May 1st, 2005, 12:59 PM Forgot to mention . . . the uncropped version in B&W looks best. kris10 May 1st, 2005, 01:31 PM This is not fair to make us choose...;). I like them both. The black and white one is nice because the red part in her eye is not as noticeable as beauty said, but the color and exposure in the color one look great too. Hmmm...too hard to decide. You have some great wedding photo's!!! Dolphinraver May 1st, 2005, 01:57 PM I will have to go with the black and white only because of the redness . If the redness was fixed in photoshop I would like the color version except for the crop. In the cropped out bench it looks like she has railings sticking out of her head. Angela sweetrosie_99 May 1st, 2005, 02:14 PM yes the b&w.......... Nice work.. arougeman May 1st, 2005, 05:18 PM I like the color one... Dan danny May 1st, 2005, 06:35 PM I love them both. Can't decide. Great job lady ! White Sand May 1st, 2005, 07:27 PM I like the crop of the B&W better, but I think the color one would be beautiful in the larger crop if you could get rid of the red in her eye. They are both very pleasing to look at. jilliah10 May 1st, 2005, 07:53 PM i like the B&W of both....they are great shots. A.J.Reams May 1st, 2005, 10:53 PM Oh man, I cant decide either. I think I like the B&W one also, but the color is nice also. callady10 May 1st, 2005, 11:22 PM Thanks everyone. I think I will try to work on that eye.. I didn't see that. Thanks again Jay S May 2nd, 2005, 08:00 AM i like the B & W better as well....the cropping is better too since you give more balance to your subject. the crop gives more grace to your subject, and the b&w effect makes it a classic... kixphotography May 2nd, 2005, 09:41 AM number 1 Tim L. Walker May 2nd, 2005, 10:04 AM I like the color one better, but the crop of the B&W one... that being said, there's that red spot in her eye, as well as some facial blemishes that would need to be cleaned up for the color one, that aren't noticable on the B&W photo. Mark May 2nd, 2005, 06:39 PM Normally I would always choose B&W, however in this case, I think color is better because: 1. the tones of green in her dress and the grass is great. 2. the color gives a little more defination between her hair and the tree behind her. 3. it has a very warm inviting feeling to it. Fix the eye, which has ben mentioned. Either way, both are very good. I am sure your client will be VERY pleased. Callady, check you PM. snapshot May 3rd, 2005, 03:29 AM I must agree with everyone that the B&W is better because the story it tells is quite different than the color picture and the B&W cropping is best. I find that I am not critizing her complexion in the B&W like I am in the color since the color gives her skin a smoothness that the color doesn't. Keep snapping, great job. snapshot crazyredwizard May 3rd, 2005, 04:43 AM I like both color variations but the color version really stands out to me. I like also like the closer crop. melparr1 May 3rd, 2005, 05:25 AM I would have to go with the color as I feel it brings out more detail that seems to be lost in the b&w one. Good balance, neat and creative pose. callady10 May 3rd, 2005, 06:01 AM I think I am going to show them both to the client. The field is undecided here. Thanks everyone for your input. tonyjyothis May 3rd, 2005, 10:27 AM I like the colour one but the crop of the B&W ...... Only thing that's hurting is the redness in the eye giving a sad and hurt look . Its a great snap ..... :-)) Cleo May 3rd, 2005, 02:30 PM I have to laugh about all the mention of the redness. It isn't like it is an error, it is trauma in the eye. I'm sure whether it is fixed or not the client will love both since I am sure she knew it was there. Both give a different feel, yet both are equally good. I would let the client choose & hope that they buy both! | Sponsored Ads: |
