:-( My Car....stitchy626 July 30th, 2004, 05:28 AM Some dumba** hit me today.... I was so pissed.... I didn't even make it 3 streets down the road in my developement.... He pulled outta his driveway and didn't even look... :x  Tim L. Walker July 30th, 2004, 05:33 AM Ouch... the poor beamer... they don't look near as good crunched, eh? At least it wasn't your fault... I hit a raccoon a couple years ago with my Mustang.... grrr... when your car hurts, you hurt... I feel your pain. stitchy626 July 30th, 2004, 05:37 AM I had to see it go off on the flat bed... I had to take pictures of that as well... lol... I can't wait to see how much it will cost to fix that... I say around $4000 - $5000 easy.... It doesn't bother me... lol... Thank god it wasn't my fault... And the other guy has like no damage... just the paint is screwed up... no dents... Kara July 30th, 2004, 05:56 AM Dayum :!: thats nasty. Thank god for insurance tho, a few months ago some kid rear ended us, and hes got no insurance. Thatll give ya something to really cry over  we hadnt had the jeep for more than 2 months. Let us know how it goes ;) GerryDavid July 30th, 2004, 06:39 AM Kara, since he had no insurrance, does that mean you were out of luck as well or? Kara July 30th, 2004, 07:19 AM Yep S**t out of luck as it happens. There goes ANOTHER time I could have been the proud new oner of a 300D GerryDavid July 30th, 2004, 07:32 AM But if he has no insurrance, and hes at fault, doesnt he have to pay for your car to get it fixed anywase? Sue him if you ahd to? Kara July 30th, 2004, 07:36 AM yah but by the time you get lawyers and stuff involved it ends up costing more than the less than 1500 that you need to fix it. GerryDavid July 30th, 2004, 07:41 AM Woudlnt he cover court and laywer costs as well? It just seems wrong that since he doesnt have insurrance, he doesnt have to pay anything. It was his fault. Perhaps Canadian law is different. Here you have to have it to drive. Tim L. Walker July 30th, 2004, 07:44 AM Yeah... I think we've got a better car insurance system here... I've lived in the US and Canada, and insured vehicles in both places... Kara July 30th, 2004, 07:59 AM Yeah, but that means time off work for my BF being as he was the driver, and he works in sales, so the one day he took of would prolly be he day someone wanted to buy a really big boat. Its Karma. GerryDavid July 30th, 2004, 08:21 AM ya, I think it is different. Here I think its your car insurrance pays for the repair, not the other persons insurrancce. The reason for this is say you have a really expensive insurrance, and the other guy has a cheap one, this way you get a good repair, not a low budget one. So here even if he didnt have insurarnce, I think your insurrance still covers the repair. I could be wrong. Kara July 30th, 2004, 08:28 AM Well its fixed now. So thats all that matters. My car wasnt a beamer tho ;) Tim L. Walker July 30th, 2004, 08:31 AM It does vary from province to province, actually... but you have to have a certain amount of insurance to be legally allowed to drive on the road... Kara July 30th, 2004, 08:34 AM The bad thing is in NZ you dont have to have insurance on your vehicle. And watch out for NZ drivers - theyre nuts. | Sponsored Ads: |
