Welcome to PhotographyCorner! Interesting picture! Was it manipulated in Photoshop... or is it a "clean" shot?

I'm sure that I used P'shop for touchup, but it was a single shot. Came "out of the camera" pretty much the way you see it. There is, for practical purposes, no manipulation.

Wow... very impressive. How did you set the shot up, if I may ask? (or is that trade secret ;) )

Not particularly difficult. I want you to tell us a few different ways you would do that shot. Others can also chime in w/ their ideas. After I see that you are really working at it I'll spill the beans (do they say that in Canada?) if you haven't figured it out.

Hehe... spill the beans... yeah I think we say that in Canada as well... my mom used to say that all the time. ;) My first thought to do that picture would be some sort of special lighting, having the chain obviously run behind her - creating "realistic" looking shadows of where the chain "should" be in relation to the mouth... but the more I look at it, I think having a "stiff" chain, and actually having it go into her mouth would be the easiet way to do it.

I thought of another way. Have the person lying down and dangle a more readily accessible loose chain into the model's mouth. It will look like it's taught once you rotate it through 90 degrees... how does that sound?

Good one, Aaron... didn't even think of that. I think I change my vote to that. ;)

(I should have thought of that, but it is 4:25am here... I should be asleep!) ;)

LOL... I was already Photo of the Month... what's my NEW prize?

Actually, I wouldn't have got it, Tim, if you hadn't said what you said about a stiff chain.

BTW... nice work, Stan. Do you have any more "photo riddles" for us? :)

Well of course I do, but I save them for my own boards (which all of you folks are welcome to visit (I know Tim does)).

I took a few flower & squirrl pics today If any come out decently I'll post them on www.flower-forum.com (the floweres that is). If the squirrl works in B&W (doubtful) I'll post it on the B&W forum. If it only works in color I'll post it on Just Photography. or maybe Lyle Baker's Non-model photography Bd.

You're always welcome to post them here as well. ;) Though, of course, I can understand why you would want to post them on yours. ;)

All the images in this thread seem to have disappeared... anyone know what's going on?

I still see them... :?: But he didn't upload them... he used the "img" feature, so if his site is down, they won't show up here....

Weird... their showing now... I wasn't even getting red X's before, so I don't know what was happening.

Oh well... back to normal. :)

Welcome. Great photo. If you ever know of any photographers needing publicity, we're right across the Hudson River in Englewood, NJ.
