Well, I need to find a good place to get some good prices onthe following

Canon EOS 20D with the 18-55 USM, and Non USM lens.
Canon 70-200 f/4 USM Lens
Sigma 50-500 f/4-5.6 Lens
SanDisk Extreme III 1GB Card
LowePro Micro trekker 200 Camera Backpack
LowePro Mini-Trekker AW Camera Backpack

A good place to get those things would be great. Two of my friends are going to get a 20D, Any idea if a Store of some sort would make a deal on two of them? Same with the EXtreme III. Thanks.

And you will want the optional battery grip (BG-E2) so look here for a great deal http://www.photographycorner.com/viewtopic.php?t=7835

I have heard bad things about the Battery Grip. I have heard of stories of improper contact, causing the camera to lock up. And for $180 less, I'd rather get a spare battery. ;-)

I did not experience any difficulties with the BG-E2 I have for sale at $150 which includes two AA battery magazines. For the casual hobbyist the grip would not be a higher purchase priority than a decent lens. Enthusiasts would find value in the vertical shooting functionality as well as the option to use easily obtainable AA batteries if they can't wait for your Canon battery to recharge.

Canon has acknowledged problems with the battery grip and will repair them at no charge, as well as fixing the issue with all new ones.

Still doesnt justify spending $180 more. :-)

Canon 70-200 f/4 USM Lens <-- Amazon $589 free shipping or Andorama $579

LowePro Micro trekker 200 Camera Backpack <--- B&H $59.95

Try B&H for the deal, they might do it. I know when I went in and was going to buy a camera they were willing to deal, unfortunately the camera was out of stock.

The more you buy with them the easier it is to get a break. I bought about $500 in filters and they gave me 15% off. Good luck.

I had the grip for my 300D, but opted not to get it with my 10D.

It's a personal issue, I guess. On the 300D, the added weight was nice and that "may" be a factor on the 20D, but wasn't on the 10D.

I wish the 300D's girp had the AA battery magazine option.
